Welcome to Blue Monocle Maps, a map design studio and print shop in Broomfield, Colorado that creates unique modern and vintage-inspired map art.

I'm a printmaker with a love for maps: old maps, new maps, technical maps, art maps, everything. Maps are endlessly fascinating – when looking at a map I constantly find myself absorbed in studying the forms, details and topologies hidden within. Maps are beautiful – maps teach us about the world – maps help us find where we are and where we want to be.

My shop lets me indulge my passion both for maps and for the art of printmaking. In the beginning I focused on making reproductions of antique maps, but in recent years I've become a map designer as well and now produce prints based on my own original map designs. I take the craft of printmaking seriously – I make my prints in-house on a large-format inkjet printer (aka giclée) using 100% cotton fine-art paper and archival pigment inks.

Over the years I've had the privilege to make prints for numerous museums, universities, and television and movie productions, and my prints have been featured in InStyle Magazine and Rocky Mountain Bride, and displayed on the set of The Martha Stewart Show.

I'm happy to customize any map in my shop, and if you're looking for something you don't see here, drop me line and I might be able to create something especially for you.

My prints are also available for purchase in my Etsy store – sometimes new designs even show up there before I add them here.

If you have any questions or comments, please contact me, I'd love to hear from you!
